(I) N. By the pen and whatever they record,
T.B.Irving 68:1
2
you, by your Lord's favor, are no madman!
T.B.Irving 68:2
3
You will receive payment which will never be withheld.
T.B.Irving 68:3
4
You have been (formed) with tremendous character,
T.B.Irving 68:4
5
so you will observe even as they observe,
T.B.Irving 68:5
6
which of you is being tested.
T.B.Irving 68:6
7
Your Lord is quite Aware as to who has strayed from His path, just as He is quite Aware as to who are guided.
T.B.Irving 68:7
8
Do not obey rejectors;
T.B.Irving 68:8
9
they would love to have you shift about so they too may shift around.
T.B.Irving 68:9
10
Do not obey every contemptible oathmonger,
T.B.Irving 68:10
11
any faultfinder who goes around spreading gossip,
T.B.Irving 68:11
12
hindering good, defiant, vicious,
T.B.Irving 68:12
13
brawling, and a bastard besides that
T.B.Irving 68:13
14
even though he possesses both money and children.
T.B.Irving 68:14
15
Whenever Our verses are recited to him, he says. "Legends by primitive people!"
T.B.Irving 68:15
16
We shall brand him on the snout!
T.B.Irving 68:16
17
We shall test them just as We tested the owners of the orchard when they swore they would pick its fruit next morning l
T.B.Irving 68:17
18
and did not make any reservation about having a second chance;
T.B.Irving 68:18
19
so a calamity from your Lord came round to them while they were sleeping
T.B.Irving 68:19
20
and one morning it lay as if it had been already harvested !
T.B.Irving 68:20
21
Thus they called out to one another next morning:
T.B.Irving 68:21
22
Get out early to your crop if you (want to) harvest it!
T.B.Irving 68:22
23
They hurried off muttering to one another:
T.B.Irving 68:23
24
Don't admit any needy person in on you today!
T.B.Irving 68:24
25
So they went off early, grumbling yet ready for work!
T.B.Irving 68:25
26
and when they saw it, they said: "We must be lost!
T.B.Irving 68:26
27
In fact, we feel destitute."
T.B.Irving 68:27
28
Someone more considerate among them said "Did I not tell you: 'Why do you not glorify (God)?'"
T.B.Irving 68:28
29
They said: "Glory be to our Lord; we have been doing (something) wrong."
T.B.Irving 68:29
30
Still some of them pounced on others, blaming one another;
