Verily, We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people (with the command, saying): "Warn your people before there comes to them a painful penalty."

S.V.Ahamed 71:1

He said: "O my people! Verily, I am an open warner to you:

That you should worship Allah, fear Him and obey me:

S.V.Ahamed 71:3

So He will forgive you your sins and give you relief for a fixed (and written) time: Verily, when the time is finished by Allah it cannot be put forward (changed or altered): If you only knew:

He said: "O my Lord! Verily, I have called to my people night and day:

S.V.Ahamed 71:5

But my calling them only increases (their) flight (from the right).

S.V.Ahamed 71:6

7

And verily, every time I have called to them, that You may forgive them, they have (only) pushed their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their clothes, grown firmer (against faith), and given themselves up to false pride.

Then verily, I have called them loudly;

S.V.Ahamed 71:8

Then verily, I have spoken to them in public and secretly in private,

S.V.Ahamed 71:9

Saying to them, ‘Ask forgiveness from your Lord; Verily, He is Often Forgiving (Ghafa'r);

‘He will send rain to you in plenty;

S.V.Ahamed 71:11

12

‘Give you increase in wealth and children; And grant to you gardens and grant to you rivers (of flowing water),

‘What is the matter with you, that you do not place your hope for kindness and long-suffering in Allah

S.V.Ahamed 71:13

‘Seeing that it is He Who has created you in many different stages?

S.V.Ahamed 71:14

15

‘Do you not see how Allah has created the seven heavens, one above another,

S.V.Ahamed 71:15

16

‘And made the moon a light in the middle, and made the sun as a (glorious) lamp,

S.V.Ahamed 71:16

17

‘And Allah has produced you from the earth, growing (you gradually),

S.V.Ahamed 71:17

18

‘And in the end, He will return you into the (earth) and raise you up (again at the Resurrection),

S.V.Ahamed 71:18

19

‘And Allah has made the earth for you as a carpet (a wide expanse, spread out),

S.V.Ahamed 71:19

20

‘That you may go about in there on broad and spacious roads?'

S.V.Ahamed 71:20

21

Nuh (Noah) said: "My Lord! They have disobeyed me, and they follow one whose wealth and children give them no increase but only loss.

And they have planned a huge (and evil) plot.

S.V.Ahamed 71:22

And they have said (to each other); ‘do not give up your gods: And do not give up Wadd, nor Suwa, neither Yaguth, nor Ya'uq, nor Nasr' (These are the false gods of the people of Nuh)

S.V.Ahamed 71:23

24

And indeed, they have already misled many; And (Allah,) You grant no increase to the wrongdoers but in wandering (aimlessly in their goal).

S.V.Ahamed 71:24

25

Because of their sins they were drowned (in the Flood), and they were made to enter the Fire (of punishment) and they found Other than Allah, none to help them.

S.V.Ahamed 71:25

And Nuh (Noah) said: "My Lord! Do not leave of the unbelievers, (even) a single one on earth!

S.V.Ahamed 71:26

27

For, if You do leave (any of) them, they will only mislead Your servants and they will breed only the wicked ungrateful ones.

S.V.Ahamed 71:27

28

My Lord! Forgive me, and my parents, and all who enter my house in Faith, and (all) believing men and believing women. And to the wrongdoers, You grant them no increase except in their loss!
