1
When the Event (Literally: the Befalling) befalls,
M.M.Ghali 56:1
2
There is no lying about its befalling;
M.M.Ghali 56:2
3
Lowering (some), raising (others)
M.M.Ghali 56:3
4
When the earth will be convulsed with a (severe) convulsion,
M.M.Ghali 56:4
5
And the mountains crumbled with a violent crumbling,
M.M.Ghali 56:5
6
So that they become disseminated dust particles,
M.M.Ghali 56:6
7
And you will be three pairs,
M.M.Ghali 56:7
8
So (as for) the companions of the Rightness, (Or: the Right Hand) what (will become) of the companions of the Rightness?
M.M.Ghali 56:8
9
And the companions of the Sinister (befalling), what (will become) of the companions of the Sinister (befalling)? (Or: the Left Hand)
M.M.Ghali 56:9
10
And the Outstrippers, (i.e., those who precede others) the Outstrippers-
M.M.Ghali 56:10
11
Those are the ones to be brought near (in the Hereafter).
M.M.Ghali 56:11
12
In the Gardens of Bliss-
M.M.Ghali 56:12
13
A throng of the earliest (people),
M.M.Ghali 56:13
14
And a few of the latest (people),
M.M.Ghali 56:14
15
Upon close-wrought (Or: plaited or encrusted) settees,
M.M.Ghali 56:15
16
Reclining upon them, facing one another.
M.M.Ghali 56:16
17
(There) go round them eternalized young men.
M.M.Ghali 56:17
18
With goblets, and beakers, and a cup from a profuse spring,
M.M.Ghali 56:18
19
Wherefrom their (heads) will not ache, nor will they feel exhausted,
M.M.Ghali 56:19
20
And (such) fruits as they will freely choose,
M.M.Ghali 56:20
21
And such flesh of birds as they crave for,
M.M.Ghali 56:21
22
And wide-eyed huris,
M.M.Ghali 56:22
23
As the likeness of nestled pearls.
M.M.Ghali 56:23
24
(This is) a recompense for whatever they were doing.
M.M.Ghali 56:24
25
Therein they will not hear any idle talk, nor any cause for vice,
M.M.Ghali 56:25
26
Except the blissful saying, "Peace! Peace!"
M.M.Ghali 56:26
27
And the companions of the Right; what (will become) of the companions of the Right?
M.M.Ghali 56:27
28
They will be among thornless lote-trees,
M.M.Ghali 56:28
29
And Talh, (It may mean banana or acacia, which are compacted) tiered (one on another),
M.M.Ghali 56:29
30
And extended shade,
M.M.Ghali 56:30
