1
Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are wronged. Those who do wrong will come to know with what a turn they shall be turned.
2
TA SIN. These are the verses of the Quran, a book that clarifies;
3
A guidance and glad tidings to the believers,
4
Who establish regular worship and give regular charity and are sure of the Hereafter.
5
Lo!, As for those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made for them their works fair-seeming, and they shall wander blindly on.
6
These are they who shall have grievous torment, and theirs in the Hereafter shall be the greatest loss.
7
Verily, you receive this Quran from the presence of the Wise, the All-knowing One.
8
(Remember) When Moses said to his people, "Verily, I perceive a fire, I will bring you there from news; or I will bring you a burning brand that you may be warmed."
9
27:8 But when he reached it he was called, with the words, "Blessed is He Who is in the Fire, and He Who is round about it! And glorified be Allah, the Lord of the Worlds!
10
O Moses! Verily, I am Allah, the Mighty, the Wise;
11
Throw down your staff! But when he saw it writhing as though it was a snake, he turned fleeing, and looked not back. (But it was said to him) "O Moses! Fear not; verily, the messengers fear not in My presence.
12
Save only those who have done wrong and then substitute good for evil; and, verily, I am Forgiving, Merciful!
13
Put your hand in they bosom, it shall come forth white without stain (or hurt); one of nine signs to Pharaoh and his people; verily, they are a rebellious, transgressing people.
14
But when Our signs came to them visibly (that should have opened their eyes), they said, "This is obvious sorcery!"
15
And they denied them, though their souls acknowledged them, for spite and arrogance; but behold the nature of the consequences for the evildoers (transgressors)!
16
And We gave David and Solomon knowledge; and they both said, "Praise belongs to Allah, Who hath favoured us over many of His believing servants."
17
And Solomon was David's heir. He said, "O you people! We have been taught the language of birds, and we have been given abundance; verily, this is manifest grace!"
18
And assembled for Solomon were his hosts of the Jinn and of mankind, and birds, and they were marshalled in battle order;
19
Until, when they came upon the Valley of the Ants, an ant said, "O you ants! Enter your dwellings, that Solomon and his hosts crush you not unperceiving (unknowing)."
20
And he (Solomon) smiled, laughing at her speech, and said, "O Lord! Excite (cause) me to be thankful for Thy favour, wherewith Thou hast favoured me and my parents, and to do righteousness which may please Thee; and include me by Thy Grace amongst Thy righteous servants!"
21
And he reviewed the birds, and said, "How is it that I see not the hoopoe (perhaps used as a spy, messenger or observer or symbolizing one)? Is he then amongst the absent?
22
I will surely punish him with a severe penalty; or I will slay him unless he brings me clear authority (or reason for his absence)."
23
But he was not long in coming, and said, "I have compassed (covered territory or found out) what you compassed (covered or understood) not; for I come unto you from Sheba with sure information:
24
Verily, I found a woman ruling over them, and she was given abundance of all things, and she had a mighty throne;
25
And I found her and her people worshipping the sun instead of Allah, for Satan had made their works fair-seeming to them, and turned them away from the Way (of Truth), so that they are not guided right.
26
So they will not worship Allah, Who brings forth the secrets in the heavens and the earth, and knows what they hide and what they manifest.
27
Allah, there is no God but He, the Lord of the Mighty Throne!
28
Said he (Solomon), "We will see whether you have told the truth, or whether you are of those who lie.
29
Go with this my letter and throw it before them, then turn away from them, and see what answer they return.
30
Said she (the Queen of Sheba after she had received the letter), "O you chiefs! Verily, a noble letter has been thrown before me.
